Abstract
This article provides an overview of child labour in Turkey from a historical perspective. The article describes the root causes and the current situation of child labour with the foci on international and national legislation as well as the political and practical measures regarding child labour in the context of social work discipline. Concrete examples with respect to legal revisions and the policies in the fight against child labour in Turkish context are framed under relevant time periods.
