Pulmonary involvement in ankylosing spondylitis presents itself with fixation of the chest wall, limitation in chest expansion, and parenchymal lung disease. Apical fibrobullous diseases, interstitial lung disease, pleural effusion and pleural thickening are predominant pulmonary findings.
